I have full, long, and straight lashes. Sometimes, when I use a heavy mascara, people would often compliment me for my beautiful lashes. However, they are too straight for me and often even curl lashes can't hold on to the curl for long. After a few hours, the lashes would go straight back.
So, I took this test from TotalBeauty to find out what is the right mascara for me. Here are the results:
Your Results
You should be using a curling mascara
Your straight lashes need some curl, but that doesn't mean you have to turn to a lash curler, which can often break or pull out lashes. Instead, try a formula that has curling technology, which won't weight lashes down and a thin or curved brush, which aids the curling process.
Try these reader favorites:
Kevyn Aucoin Beauty Mascara, $25
Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara, $14
If you have problems with mascara flaking off or if you have an oily scalp or face and you can never get mascara to stay on your lashes, opt for a waterproof formula like Maybelline New York Sky High Curves Waterproof Mascara, $6.99
If you still feel like you need extra curling action for stubbornly straight lashes, try blasting your eyelash curler with your blow dryer to heat it up before using it. And remember to throw out your mascara after three months of use, says Hezekiah, adding that dried up formulas will weigh your lashes down.
